Hi! My name is Marissa and I am currently the President of Eta Beta. I am from Coventry, RI but have found my second home here in Hartford, CT. I have always had a passion for teaching kids and am majoring in elementary/special education. Joining Delta Gamma was one of the best decisions I have made. It has given me great leadership skills, confidence in becoming a better person but most of all friendship. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
Hi everyone! I'm Deven and I am currently a Junior at the University of Hartford. I'm originally from a small town called Southington, CT and I am lucky enough to have found a second home here at the University of Hartford. I am an elementary and special education major and minoring in communications. When I'm not in school, you can find me at a small preschool as an assistant teacher. I am lucky enough to not only have two homes, but recently found my third: Delta Gamma, Eta Beta chapter. I have had the pleasure of being Director of New Members and currently hold the position as Vice President: Finance. Delta Gamma has taught me to value my friendships and relationships with other, be confident in myself, and to make every day my best day. Without Delta Gamma I would not be the person I am today. The leadership opportunities and the lifelong friendships I have made will be something I will always cherish.
Hi everyone! My name is Bianca Matira and I am a junior here at the University of the Hartford, pursuing a degree in Health Science. I'm a 5-foot and a quarter inch shrimp, but I've found love and played competitive basketball all of my life. I live in a small town in Ledyard, Connecticut where a I reside with my really cool family and even cooler/handsome dogs named Mario and Boomer who I obsess about religiously. Although it was difficult to be separated from the love that was given to me back home, I was so blessed to have found another home here at the university - Delta Gamma, Eta Beta. Delta Gamma has given me friendships that are invaluable. The leadership opportunities are copious and the opportunities that give us the ability to give back are never-ending. I truly attribute the girls, past and present, for bettering me and challenging me. I'm proud of the life I've created and I couldn't ask for anything more.
Hi everyone! My name is Taylor Rocco and I am from Rocky Hill, CT. I am currently a junior here at the University of Hartford and was lucky enough to find Delta Gamma during my second semester of my freshman year. I am a double major in psychology and criminal justice and love both of them so much. Eventually when I get out of college, it is my dream to work for the FBI. If I am not at school, you can find me at home with my two Yorkies Louie and Dior. I was a competitive figure skater for 17 years and danced for 12. I am currently the Vice President Programming for the Eta Beta chapter and was fortunate enough to attend the Lewis Institute, a leadership conference through Delta Gamma, this past July. I hope that I can inspire other girls to join Delta Gamma for it has given me so many great opportunities, unforgettable memories, and an unbreakable bond with my sisters.
Hi I'm Jaclyn! I am a junior pursuing a degree in Elementary and Special Education. Children are my passion and to make their days spent at school fun and educational would be so rewarding for me. I am originally from Lake in the Hills, Illinois but moved to a little town called Rocky Point, which is on Long Island. However I am proud to call Hartford my home away from home the past 3 years. I am so fortunate to have my sisters. Being apart of Delta Gamma has taught me to become a better leader; given me amazing friendships that will last a lifetime, and overall made me a better person.
Hi, I'm Gentiana! I am currently a junior at the University of Hartford studying Early Childhood Education. I also plan to further my education in graduate school to get a master's in Special Education. I am from Rye, NY but have been fortunate enough to call the University my home for the past 3 years. My sisters have been everything to me and I am so thankful them each and everyday. Without them I wouldn't have pushed myself to take on any of the opportunities that were presented to me through my membership in Delta Gamma. I have held the previous positions of Director of Public Relations and VP Communications and I am currently the VP Panhellenic! I have Delta Gamma and my sister to thank for the person I have become today because without them I know I wouldn't be where I am today!
